President

Cass Wilson

Cass Wilson became the first Female President of Shepparton United Soccer Club in 2023. Breaking through barriers in a traditionally male-dominated region. Cass’s journey to the presidency was marked by dedication and perseverance. She began at the club as a volunteer where she quickly demonstrated her leadership abilities and innovative thinking. Climbing the ranks, she held various positions within the club, gaining invaluable experience in club operations, marketing and finance. Recognised for her strategic vision and commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in sports, Cass was appointed as the president of the club amidst much acclaim. Under her leadership, the club experienced unprecedented success both on and off the field. Cass emphasis on community engagement initiatives, youth development and sustainable practices earned her respect across the region. Beyond her role as president Cass has been instrumental in driving change in process, policy and procedure for the club and across the league. Cass is a vocal advocate for gender equality and embraces inclusivity of all cultures and abilities. Cass uses her platform to work with people around wellbeing, positive behaviours and to empower women in leadership positions and challenge stereotypes. Shepparton United current committee has increased female leadership roles to 50% in 2024. Rebuilding the club from the brink of closure in 2022 Club fielding 8 teams increase to 15 teams in 2023. This year SUSC will see the launch of an under 12s all girls team including a female coach, to complement our open girls team and Open Womens team. The club was faced many challenges, and with the support of past committee members rejoining, and new committee members coming onboard the club has gone from strength to strength with continuous improvement processes in place. The club continues to evolve and in 2023 was recognised as the largest multicultural community soccer clubs in the area. #proudtobeblue

Member Protection Information Officer

Sheridan Fairless

Sheridan became part of the club in 2008, initially beginning her playing journey with the Shepparton United Open Women’s team as a junior player. Her involvement with the thriving women’s program has spanned more than 15 years, during which she has played a pivotal role. Sheridan is not only recognized as a positive influence within the club but has also served as a former captain and coach, leading the team to multiple premiership victories over the years. Additionally, she contributes actively as a committee member and holds the responsibility of being the club's member protection information officer.

Carien Hesselberg 

Carien joined Shepparton United Soccer Club in 2023. Carien is a committed sports trainer who specialises in preventative taping, injury management, and first aid. With dedication to keeping athletes healthy and performing their best, she brings her expertise and compassion to her role. As a valued member of the Shepparton United Soccer Club family, Carien takes pride in her ability to support athletes in reaching their full potential while prioritising their well-being.

Youth Coach

Paul Falk

Paul began his soccer journey as a junior with Shepparton United Soccer Club during the 1980s. He reconnected with the club in 2019, taking on the role of Assistant Coach for the Under 15 team. Over the seasons, Paul refined his coaching approach, achieving consecutive Grand Final victories with the Under 16s in 2022 and leading the team to become the inaugural Shepparton United Under 18s Grand Final champions in 2023. His unwavering dedication and determination have contributed to fostering a positive atmosphere within the club. Currently, Paul continues his coaching tenure with the Under 18s for the 2024 season while also serving as the assistant coach for the Senior Team alongside Roven Shaholli.
